“My Two Cents” - Guest Commentary

As I read your latest article on the FS website, I was reminded again that you must remember fundamentals. The logical possibilities are finite. You need to investigate these a bit more and be a bit tougher in your text. You touched on some things but they need elaboration. There are too many thoughts out there and we all need to stay focussed. As you indicate this could be for survival. Thank you for mentioning that Asians have been saving as a habit for a long time. Since Chilton's The Wealthy Barber, it seems we still have a long way to go. But this might have more to do with education than central banks.

Look at the possibilities: If Capitol Hill were to admit that the system stinks, then it would be suicide, yet it is probably beyond repair. I believe that they do not disagree with the evidence of fraud and wrongdoing, but to destroy the system would not be a solution. It would give other groups a good reason to 'kick you while you're down.' The reform essays are all around us anyway, and have been documented for a long time. Common sense and decency are not the prerequisites of being close to money and power, so don't expect it. And if things have to get worse before they get better, then make sure the policies that caused the problems are not returned to, this is a real possibility.

In order for the system to be set right it will have to find it's own equilibrium over time. If the world is overpopulated, than some people are going to have to die or not be born, if you can find me another logical answer than tell me. Because I don't see the powers that be feeding everyone now, so why are more people later on going to be fed and protected? We are in North America. We are the lucky ones, remember. Do your children know what a Hazel nut tree looks like? Or how to make a fire? What about basic anatomy, first aid. Mechanical laws and basic structural engineering. Can you make cement? Do you know what Lye does in water? (http://www.endtimesreport.com/making_lye.html). If you find these questions amusing, then ask yourself what you will do when there is no bread on the shelves at the stores. If you find that even more amusing, well then you really would be the grasshopper to the ant.

You know, Andy, I can not have too much sympathy for people who prefer convenience over self sufficiency. Because I have had to change my behaviour from an urban-centric view to a more natural view, for my kids future, and I am no genius, then what's the big deal? My kids will know how to survive in the bush, give first aide, and get their degrees too. Do you remember radio? Well, it works just fine. And I don't need a satelite. You can not save everyone, my family may be destroyed as much as another, but it's always nice to have a little 'hedge' on the odds. Ooops, better watch my vocabulary.

We know that intelligent strategists win wars before any battle is fought, and they do not appear on the front line at any time. Am I wrong or naive here? What people can do is stay on an educational curve and buy Silver. This gives the individual more power. But today the rules are different and always changing. The warmer temperatures means many great forests are going to die. This alone will revoke any gains made in other areas on a vast scale. Don't you see it's all collapsing. People are going to get overwhelmed and feel helpless (which is obviously what some groups want). Call a spade a spade, and get ready for a struggle, and to help your fellow man. The modern world is an illusion, an experiment. Books, music, medicine, engineering, agriculture, I mean take your pick, there's lots of great things to do on this great earth. If some group wants to screw you, well then be on your gaurd, and expose the creeps. But geopolitical articles with 'Buy Gold!' at the end are of little help.

When the time comes you will see a lot of people leave the city. This means that the cities will become areas of decay and violence as other groups enter or take over. What this means for the countryside over the next generation is unclear, but I believe it offers a choice over an urban misery. A plan B. And perhaps this is all that people can expect at that the moment. Then again, everything might just work out fine. Prepare for the worst and hope for the best. At least some things do not change.

I believe that you can encompass many ideas into your belief system that will empower your decisions. There may never be a human ever again, a comet or asteroid may be on its way with 'earth' written on it. How many people have died since time began? What does it all mean? When the time comes, it may be better to be far away where you can see the stars, and still ask yourself these questions.

Best of luck,
